We bring real food and real people together. Rooted in the island, fuelled by flame and served with attitude.
Our story began in 1991 with Drop In Restaurant & Club, just two hundred metres from here on Chaweng Beach Road. In 1999, Samui Seafood Grill & Restaurant opened on this ground. More than three decades of island hospitality later, the story continues here.
The same ground is awake again.
Beneath one of Chaweng's last mature tree canopies, Babou unfolds as a world of its own, shaped by tropical materials, handcraft, art, fire, light and sound. The space was built around the trees rather than in place of them, preserving what was already here while creating something entirely new. Inside, MediterrAsian cooking meets cocktails, ritual and rhythm as the evening evolves.
From the first taste to the final beat, every moment is designed to be experienced, not simply consumed.
